CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - After going into double overtime following a scoreless 90 minutes, the MIT women's soccer team tied Lesley University, 0-0. The Engineers' record is 6-2-1 and the Lynx is now 6-1-2 for the season.
MIT outshot Lesley, 12-9, only two of which, both booted by sophomore Ambika Krishnamachar (Darien, Conn.), needed to be saved by goalkeeper Emileigh Lloyd. Senior Emily Kuo (Chicago, Ill.) shot at the net three times, taking more shots than anyone else on either team, but none of them made it to Lloyd before they were blocked. Senior Meghan Wright (Devon, Pa.) spent all 110 minutes in goal and successfully made four saves, earning her fourth shutout of the season.
The Engineers will next travel to WPI on Saturday, Sept. 29 for a 4:30 p.m. game.
