Hank Leung joins MIT this season while on sabbatical from his post as the Executive Director of Michigan Phoenix SC. He has close to five decades of experience in soccer at all levels, is a member of the Soccer Hall of Fame (Virginia – Washington, D.C.) and is a three-time National Coach of the Year at the W League, NCAA Division I and youth level. Leung is currently a Region II ODP Girls Staff Coach and has previously been a Region I Girls ODP Head Coach and a Region I Boys ODP Staff Coach.
Leung is a former U.S. National Team Coach, former U.S. National Staff Coach, a former Assistant Coach with the Philadelphia Fury of the NASL, as well as a former Director of Coaching for the Virginia Youth Soccer Association, the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association and the former Eastern Pennsylvania Soccer Association.
As a collegiate women's head coach, Leung won an NCAA Division I national championship with George Mason University.
Leung is a U.S. Soccer "A" License Coach, a U.S. Soccer National Youth License Coach, a graduate of the FIFA International Academy and a graduate of the KNVB (Dutch Soccer Federation) International Coaching Course.
