CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its All-Conference teams for women's soccer today, and for the eighth consecutive season, MIT was represented on the postseason all-star squad. Sophomore Amy Ludlum earned Second Team honors after leading the team with eight goals and 16 points, including three game-winning scores.
Ludlum is tied for ninth all-time in career goals with 17 finishes through her first two seasons. She has led the team in scoring both years donning the Cardinal and Gray, and accounted for 80% of Tech's scoring during the campaign.
Wheaton sophomore Lauren Konopka was named NEWMAC Player of the Year after leading the Lyons to their seventh consecutive NEWMAC regular season championship. Springfield's Lauren Peltier was tabbed Rookie of the Year, while the Pride's head coach John Gibson was selected by his peers as the league's Coach of the Year.
