CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Last weekend, MIT's women's swimming team hosted Tufts University, Wheaton College and Roger Williams University in the perennial Charlie Batterman Relays. The Engineers rocked the waters of the Zesiger Center, winning all nine events. MIT's men fared equally as well, as the two teams combined for eighteen wins and twelve meet records.
While no official team scores were recorded, the meet provided an opportunity for swimmers to showcase their talents before the competitive season. Amy Jacobi was MIT's leading contributor, as the junior participated in six of the nine races. Freshman Anna Kokensparger, who set two individual team records in last month's alumnae meet, swam on five winning relays.
The Engineers will compete in their first head-to-head match on Wednesday, November 18, when they travel to face the Blue of Wellesley College at 7 p.m.
