CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has recently named MIT junior Amy Jacobi as Women's Swimmer of the Week. The nomination is the second of Jacobi's career and the fourth for the Engineers this season.
Last Saturday, MIT junior Amy Jacobi had four wins - two individual and two relay - in MIT's 172.5-127.5 win over Tufts University. In the 400 Medley Relay, she posted a 100 Fly split of 1:00.18 to help the Cardinal and Gray win the afternoon's first event. Jacobi went on to win both the 200 Free (1:58.03) and 100 Fly (1:00.33) before anchoring the Engineers in the 200 Free Relay, splitting 24.54 over 50 yards.
