Swimming and Diving Announces 2014 Freshman Class

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A combined 20 incoming freshmen will be added to the MIT men's and women's swimming and diving teams this fall, as announced by head coach Dawn Dill. Both teams capped their respective campaigns by winning the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Swimming and Diving Championship, along with finishing in the top 10 at the NCAA Division III Championships. The men finished fifth out of 48 teams, while the women placed ninth out of 49.

"We are very excited to welcome a dynamic and accomplished group of student-athletes to the MIT swimming and diving teams," said Dill. "The women's team adds eight and the men's team adds 12, as all of these student-athletes have excelled at the highest level both in the pool and classroom, and will immediately make an impact at the conference and NCAA level."
