      <title>Women's Swimming Takes 8th at NCAAs</title>

      <description>SHENANDOAH, Texas - For the second year in a row, the MIT women's swimming and diving team finished in eighth place in the overall team rankings at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, closing the four-day, eight-session meet with 125 points.  Before last year, the highest the Engineers had ever finished at NCAAs was 11th back in 1990.</description>

      <description>SHENANDOAH, Texas - At finals on the third day of competition at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championship, senior Anna Kokensparger (Omaha, Neb.) represented the MIT women's swimming and diving team in the championship final of the 200-yard butterfly. She finished in sixth place with a time of 2:02.27. Also swimming at night was the 800-yard freestyle relay, which came tenth in 7:36.44.</description>

Kokensparger swam in the 200-yard freestyle, while Siegel competed in the 100-yard butterfly.</description>

      <description>SHENANDOAH, Texas - Seven members of the MIT women's swimming and diving team swam individual events on the first day of competition at the 2013 NCAA Division III Championship on Wednesday, with two of them making it back to finals that night. Senior Anna Kokensparger (Omaha, Neb.) became the national runner-up in the 200-yard Individual Medley with her time of 2:01.74. In the 50-yard freestyle, freshman Lena Yang (East Stroudsburg, Pa.) finished fifth in the consolation heat with a 23.60. After the first day of competition, MIT are in seventh place with 45 points.</description>

      <description>CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - MIT's women's swimming and diving team successfully defended its title at the 2013 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) championship that wrapped up on Sunday evening. The Engineers won 13 events, earned three NCAA A cuts, 21 B cuts and broke six NEWMAC records, scoring 1021 points, about 80 more than they scored last year. They claimed their third straight title, leaving a large gap between them and Springfield College, who finished in second place with 740 points.</description>
