AS A SENIOR IN 2007-08: Won her heat of the 1650 at NEWMACs, breaking the 19-minute barrier for the first time and ultimately placing 14th. Her time of 18:56.57 was a lifetime best by over 20 seconds. While going out in her mile, she also established a life-time best time in the 1000 (11:26.01), dropping 15 seconds from her previous best in that event. Additionally, placed 29th in the 500 Free, with another life-time best time (5:38.83), and 19th in the 400 IM. Placed 4th in the 1000 in MIT's dual meet against Amherst in February.

AS A JUNIOR IN 2006-07: Swam to her first top-16 finish and a consolation final appearance in the 400 IM. Swam a best time of 5:13.38 in the preliminaries, squeaking into the 16th-place spot for finals. In the finals, dropped over two seconds (5:11.20) to finish in 15th place. Placed 20th in the 200 Breast (2:47.62), and 31st in the 500 Free with a personal best 5:44.47.Also dropped 9 seconds from her previous best time in the mile (19:34.12)--an event she swam as a time trial.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2005-06: At her first NEWMACs, swam an impressive six best times in only three individual events. Swam to a 21st place finish in the mile (19:43.10) at her first NEWMACs, dropping close to a minute from her previous best time and going out in her best 1000 time (11:50.58) in the process. Finished 34th in the 500 Free, swimming another best time, this time by 12 seconds, going out in a best-time 2:14.20 in the 200 Free. Also placed 24th in the 200 Breast (2:46.85). Her split at the 100, 1:21.27, was also a best-time.

HIGH SCHOOL: Ran cross-country and track for Colby High School, which does not have a swim team.

CLUB: Western Kansas Swim Club (1999-2003); also swam with the Colby, KS team in the Northwest Kansas Swim League (NWKSL) from 1996-2004.

PERSONAL: Born March 27, 1986 to Pat and Alan Erickson...has two siblings Chris and Elizabeth...sister Elizabeth is a freshman at Cornell College, and a member of the tennis team...lists her proudest collegiate moment as playing "ride that pony" at McDonalds with her amazing team after a great NEWMACs last year...a double-major in Course 20 (Biological Engineering) and Course 7 (Biology).
