The Engineers played well, but the Panthers were able to escape with a key win in doubles as they advanced to the regional final with a 5-0 win.</description>

The Engineers won their first-ever first round match, defeating Simmons College 5-0 on at Bowdoin College. MIT will move on to play No. 6 Middlebury College tomorrow afternoon.</description>
