Why I Chose MIT: Put simply, MIT was my first academic choice and once I got accepted there was nothing stopping me from going to get the best education available. I had never visited the school before I was accepted, but once I visited during campus preview weekend I knew there was no other place for me. As a southern CA volleyball player DI volleyball has always been the ultimate goal, but when I played with all the women at MIT I realized that the division label does not characterize a team as a strong program or a weak program. MIT's DIII program has been the best volleyball I have ever played. The fun atmosphere, competitive nature of my team, and undying love of the game make MIT volleyball the only home for me. The combination of stellar academics and successful athletics made MIT the best choice.
