Why I Chose MIT: I can't pinpoint the precise reason that I chose to go to MIT, but if I had to state it as succinctly as possible, I would say that I chose to go to MIT because it provided the perfect environment to foster my academic, athletic and social growth during the four years of my undergraduate education. I saw MIT as an opportunity to explore a new, exciting city and interact with bright young minds while studying at one of the world's most prestigious institutions. Not only did I look forward to the fact that MIT would be intellectually challenging, but another major factor influencing my decision was the athletic opportunities that MIT had to offer. After visiting the campus and meeting a few of the coaches and players, it became clear that the volleyball program at MIT would provide a very natural transition for me to compete at the collegiate level. The combination of these compelling conditions made MIT the obvious choice, and my time here has only made me more certain of my decision.
