Why I Chose MIT: I chose MIT because I felt that it would offer me an education in the sciences that could not be matched by any other school. The professors at MIT are some of the best scientists in their respective fields, and students have the opportunity to become involved with the cutting edge research that these professors are working on. Not only did I choose MIT for my science education and preparing me for medical school, I wanted to go to a school where I could still continue my athletic career as well. The volleyball team is one of my favorite parts of being a student here, and it is nice to be surrounded by teammates who understand how to handle rigorous academics while still being dedicated to their sport.
