LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the eighth year in a row, the MIT women's volleyball team qualified for the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award. The college ranks produced 354 programs that met the requirements, including 126 Division III teams.
Joining MIT on the list from New England was Bowdoin College, Clark University, Colby College, Connecticut College, Emerson College, Middlebury College, Roger Williams University, Simmons College, Springfield College, University of New England, and Wesleyan University.
Initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, this award honors collegiate and high school teams that displayed excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 mark on a 5.0 scale. Click here to view the complete list of recipients.
