Beverly, Mass. (November 22) – The awards continued to pour in for the MIT women's volleyball team with the announcement of the New England Women's Volleyball Association (NEWVA) All-New England Teams on Tuesday. Senior Megan Gebhard (Howell, Mich.) earned a spot on the first team while classmate Tori Wuthrich (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.) and sophomore Abby Bertics (La Jolla, Calif.) were voted to the second team.

A repeat first-team honoree and the recipient of her third plaudit, Gebhard finished the season with a team-high 436 kills, just one shy of making MIT's top-10 list. She averaged 4.00 kills per set, which stands eighth all-time at MIT while her .299 hitting percentage ranked seventh in the NEWMAC.

Wuthrich, who earned her second straight second-team award, registered 582 digs and 5.03 digs per set, which put her fifth in the MIT record book for both categories.

The 2015 NEWVA Rookie of the Year and an All-Rookie Team pick, Bertics ranked second on the team in kills (273) and kills per set (2.50) in addition to finishing third in blocks (59).
