Women's Volleyball Takes Smith in Three

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Carrie Buchanan's 27 digs and four aces helped propel MIT to a 30-22, 30-13, 30-22 victory over NEWMAC foe Smith College on Tuesday night. The Engineers improved to 9-1 on the year and 1-0 in conference as they won their 10th NEWMAC regular season match in a row dating back to last season.

Alex May recorded a career-high 14 digs in addition to 10 kills. Frances Rogoz powered Tech's offense with 12 kills and a .346 hitting percentage as Barden Cleeland notched 11 kills, seven total blocks, and two aces. Briana Stephenson posted an efficient hitting performance, tallying seven kills on 12 attempts with two errors (.417) while Rose Zhong contributed nine digs. Amanda Morris also finished with nine digs and distributed 37 assists to go along with four total blocks.
