CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) named sophomore middle hitter Katie Rowe its women's volleyball Player of the Week. Rowe's strong performances at the net helped power MIT to a pair of 3-0 victories in conference play last week.
Against Smith College, she tallied 10 kills with two errors on 21 attempts for a .381 hitting percentage, while picking up four blocks. On Saturday, Rowe posted a career-high 19 kills on 32-errorless attempts for a .594 hitting percentage and registered three blocks. In six games, she averaged 4.83 kills and 1.17 blocks to go along with a .509 hitting percentage.
