CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Caroline Jordan was tabbed by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) asits Co-Player of the Week. She led MIT to a 4-0 week including taking first place at the MIT Quad Tournament and earning Tournament MVP honors.
Jordan opened the week with 10 kills and six blocks in a 3-0 win against WPI. In two games versus Mount Ida College, she recorded a hitting percentage of .700 and followed up this performance with a .600 hitting percentage and 10 digs against Emmanuel College. In the Engineers' championship win against Colby-Sawyer College, Jordan posted 12 kills, 16 digs, and seven blocks. For the week, she averaged 3.31 kills per game with a .347 hitting percentage, 2.46 digs per game, and 1.31 blocks per game.
Jordan, who paces the NEWMAC in total blocks (94), ranks second in kills (312), and third in hitting percentage (.289), will help lead MIT's charge when it takes on conference foe Springfield College in a battle of first-place undefeated teams Tuesday night.
