CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the second time this season, the MIT women's cross country team is ranked first in the nation for Division III programs in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll.
The Engineers were in the No. 1 position in the Sept. 18 poll but fell to second behind Williams College for the next two weeks. Following its performance at the NEICAAA this past weekend, MIT found its way back to the top of the list. Williams was pushed to No. 3 when it was edged out by Johns Hopkins.
MIT will return to action when it takes part in the NEWMAC Championships on Oct. 27.
