Jeff Paterno comes to MIT from Buckingham Browne & Nichols in Cambridge, where he coached cross country from 2002 to 2005, and served as the distance coach for the track team in 2006. Paterno grew up in Wethersfield, Conn., and was an All-State runner in indoor and outdoor track in the 1600m. He graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., in 1996 with a BA in history, and was a Patriot League Champion, New England champion, and school record holder in the 1000m. Jeff currently teaches United States history at Somerville High School, in Somerville, Mass., and competes for the New Balance Boston track club.
