CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior Jacqui Wentz has been named the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Runner of the Week after leading nationally-ranked No.10 MIT to an impressive team victory at the NCAA Division III Pre-Nationals, held Saturday at Hanover College.

Wentz finished the six-kilometer course in a time of 22:47, good for seventh out of 172 runners. The Engineers edged Bethel University by two points for the best team finish at a national meet in the program's history.

Wentz, along with men’s runner Hemagiri Arumugam, helped the Engineers sweep the conference weekly honors for the second time this year. They were both named Runners of the Week on September 16 as well.
