Cambridge, Mass. (December 1) - MIT men's soccer goalkeeper Jeremy Cowham (Quincy, Mass.) has been selected to the 2019 New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) All-Star Game Roster.
Despite the game being canceled to due forecasted weather this afternoon, Cowham becomes the 13th NEISL All-Star Game selection in program history and the first goalkeeper for the Engineers to be picked since Jake Amereno in 2015.
Cowham, a two-time New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference honoree and three-time NEWMAC Academic All-Conference selection, posted a record of 7-5-6 to go along with two shutouts, 92 saves, a goals against average of 1.32 and a save percentage of .780 in 2019. The senior will graduate this spring tied for first in the record books for best goals against average at 0.94, tied for second in career shutouts (17) and seventh all-time in save percentage (.814).
MIT closed its 2019 campaign in the first round of the NEWMAC Tournament earlier in November. The Engineers finished the year with a 7-5-6 record and qualified for the postseason for the third straight season and 21st time overall in program history.
