BOSTON, Mass. – MIT sophomore Katie Notarangelo (Foxboro, Mass.) was named the NEWMAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday. A first-time recipient, she compiled 10 goals, two assists, 12 points, 11 groundballs, 10 draw controls and three caused turnovers in two games.
Notarangelo racked up seven goals, one assist, seven draw controls, four groundballs, and two caused turnovers in a 20-9 win over Smith College last Wednesday. She followed this up on Saturday with three goals, one assist, seven groundballs, three draw controls, and one caused turnover in a 20-10 victory versus Mount Holyoke College.
MIT returns to the field tonight with a home game against the University of Southern Maine at 6:00 p.m. The Engineers will then resume conference play with trips to Wheaton College and Emerson College on Wednesday, April 20 and Sunday, April 24, respectively.
