Junior Sarah Pertsemlidis was a standout in the MIT women's tennis team's first dual match of the 2021-22 season at Brandeis University on Friday afternoon. In doubles play MIT earned an 8-7 (2) victory with Pertsemlidis and graduate student Megan Guenther at No. 2. Pertsemlidis then opened singles play with a 6-1, 6-0 straight-set win over Brandeis' Ana Hatfield at No. 1, followed by a 6-1, 6-0 victory by Liao at No. 2 to clinch the match win.
