Committed to providing the highest quality healthcare possible to varsity student-athletes and club athletes here at MIT, our Sports Medicine team is comprised of the Athletic Training Staff in collaboration with MIT Health Sports Medicine and Orthopedics team. The unit's expertise focuses on the prevention, treatment, evaluation, rehabilitation, and emergency care of injuries and illnesses affecting our student-athletes.Â
Our staff of athletic trainers (ATs) consists of seven full-time staff, one young professional transition to practice role, in addition to multiple part-time employees who help us cover all the events throughout the school year. Each staff member is certified and licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Allied Health as well as members of the National Athletic Trainers Association.Â
