Sarah Pertsemlidis made MIT women’s tennis history this past weekend as she advanced to the finals of both the singles and doubles draws at the ITA New England Regional Championship. Pertsemlidis, who advanced to the semifinals of the 2022 NCAA Singles National Championship in the spring, In singles, the top-seeded Pertsemlidis won five straight-set matches before falling in the final to Olivia Soffer of Babson. In the doubles bracket, Pertsemlidis and sophomore Jessica Lu teamed up as the No. 5 seed and rode that all the way to the final with four victories before dropping the final to team from Bowdoin.
