On Saturday night at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University, graduate student Ryan Wilson made history as he broke the NCAA Division III national record in the mile with a time of 3:55.29. He is just the third Division III athlete to ever break the four-minute barrier indoors and the fourth overall (indoors and outdoors), breaking the previous D3 indoor mark by a 1.59-second margin and shattering his own MIT school record by over 10 seconds.
