Senior Tori Jensen broke the MIT softball hits record (103 hits) this week with a 2-for-4 performance in the Engineers’ first NEWMAC contest vs. Clark. Her performance helped the team to a two game sweep of the Cougars, outscoring Clark 14-0 and improving the Engineers’ record to 7-5 this season. Jensen snapped the old mark of 101 that was set by Jessica Oleinik from 2008-11. Thus far this season, Jensen has registered ten hits, one run, five RBI and has batted .250/.268./.250 (AVG/OBP/SLG).
