In a 3-0 season-opening weekend during which No. 10 MIT swept its way to the Gordon College Tournament title, Ottavia Personeni averaged 3.11 digs per set while contributing to a defense that held its opponents to a .021 hitting percentage. She kicked off the tournament on Friday with a team-high 11 digs against Vassar, helping her become the 17th player in program history to reach the 1,000-dig mark. The next day, Personeni registered four digs versus Mount Saint Mary (N.Y.) before collecting a match-high 13 digs against Gordon.
