In the opening race of the fall season for the MIT Sailing team, the Engineers 1 boat won the Toni Deutsch ‘58 Regatta with 83 points. The team was comprised of Brooke Schmeltz, Brooke Barry, Samantha Karlson, and Mercedes Escandon. Schmeltz and Carlson led the boat to a victory in the A Division with 34 points while Barry and Escandon took third in the B Division with 49 points.
