In a 4-0 week for No. 19 MIT, which swept all of its opponents and captured the New England Challenge title, Emily Cheng averaged 10.83 assists and 2.3 digs to go along with four blocks and four aces while the Engineers hit .227. She produced 25 assists, four digs, and one block in a 25-21, 25-18, 25-15 win over Wheaton on Tuesday. Cheng opened the New England Challenge with 31 assists, seven digs, two aces, and a block in a 25-21, 25-21, 25-17 at Williams on Friday. She generated 45 assists, six digs, and one block against Middlebury (25-23, 25-20, 27-25) and then helped MIT win the tournament by tallying 29 assists, 11 digs, two aces, and one block in a 26-24, 25-12, 27-25 victory over Tufts on Saturday.Â
