Bo Tignol was instrumental in helping the Engineers capture the Division III Eastern Championship as he finished the week with nine goals, eight assists, and three ejections earned as MIT went 3-0 in the tournament and defeated Johns Hopkins in the championship game to earn a bid to the USA Water Polo National Championship. Against the Blue Jays Tignol posted four goals with an assist and a steal. His goal with 38 seconds left in the third tied the match at eight and helped spearhead an MIT run to put the game away for the Engineers. He posted three goals, five assists, and an ejection earned against Penn St. Behrend and scored two goals with two assists, and two steals against Washington and Jefferson. He was also named to the All-Tournament Team.
