Coed Sailing

The No. 5 coed sailing team opened their spring season with a strong performance in the team racing events, claiming first at the Sharpe Trophy. The MIT team posted an 8-2 record to beat all seven teams, including No. 2 Dartmouth, No. 9 Brown, No. 15 Tufts, No. 18 Harvard, Conn College, Coast Guard, and Rhode Island. Seniors Ty Ingram and Cutter O'Connell along with junior Trevor Long and sophomore Stephen Duncan were the skippers, while juniors Sameena Shaffeeuulah and Sarah Caso as well as sophomore Marcus Abate and freshman John Ped served as the crews.
