Josephine Williams was the stroke seat in MIT’s lightweight women’s four that captured the silver medal at the recent IRA National Championship. Williams, along with coxswain Sophie Thompson, Calder Shen, Olivia Stinson and Emily Knapp finished second behind Princeton in the Women's Lightweight Varsity 4+ Grand Final. The silver medal performance in the V4+ was the best result for the lightweight four since a runner-up performance at the 2023 IRA National Championship, as MIT has finished in the top five in the Varsity 4+ at every IRA National Championship since 2021. Williams was recently names a CRCA First Team All-American following the team's performance at the IRA National Championship.
