In a 3-0 weekend that saw No. 8 MIT sweep its matches at the Brandeis Invitational, Daphne Gavros tallied 30 digs, five aces, and five assists while contributing to a defense that held its opponents to a -.038 hitting percentage. She posted a match-high eight digs and added two aces in a 25-12, 25-14, 25-9 win against Regis on Friday night. The next morning against Wentworth (25-15, 25-19, 25-16), Gavros had another eight-dig and two-ace performance. Later in the day versus Roger Williams (25-20, 25-12, 25-13), she led all players with 14 digs and added four assists and an ace.
