First-year Jacqueline Ahrens had a stellar weekend at the New England Division III Indoor Championships, setting a new MIT rookie record and tying a meet record in the pole vault event. Recording a height of 12 feet, 11.5 inches, Ahrens improved her PR by 3.25 inches and moved to No. 4 all-time in MIT program history and second in the country for this season. Her height also tied the meet record of MIT alum Cimran Virdi from back in 2015. Ahrens win was one of five for Engineers over the weekend, helping the women’s team to a second place finish with 127 points.
