Sam Dowd and the men’s heavyweight crew team got the season underway last weekend at the Head Of The Kevin, hosted by Riverside Boat Club on the Charles River. In the team’s final week of preparation for this weekend's Head Of The Charles, MIT’s 1V finished second out of the 130 entries that included men's and women's eights, fours, collegiate and club rowers. Last year, Dowd helped MIT earn a second place finish in the Men’s Collegiate Eights at the Head Of The Charles and the Engineers will look to build on that performance on Sunday when they race at 3:43 PM.
