Junior defensive back Dominic Hess had a career day in MIT's 24-14 loss to Coast Guard on Saturday. Hess forced a fumble that was recovered by Andrew Pignataro before later recovering a fumble of his own. If helping the MIT defense pick-up a pair of fumbles wasn't enough, Hess also recorded a career-high two interceptions, stopping a pair of Coast Guard drives deep in MIT territory. He ended the game with seven tackles, a pass breakup, two interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. As a defense, MIT now leads the nation in fumble recoveries this season with 10.
