In a 2-1 week for the No. 15 MIT men's volleyball team, senior outside hitter Tavish Smith hit .490 (49 kills, 2 errors, 96 attempts), posted 20 digs, two assists, one service ace and three blocks. Smith registered a season-high 19 kills against Nazareth in the UVC opener for the Engineers before hitting .500 with 17 kills in a five set victory against St. John Fisher. His efforts have led the Engineers to an 8-1 start to the season and a mark of 1-1 in UVC play.
