Freshman Maryann Gong broke the varsity and freshman records in the 3000m (9:52.74) by nearly four seconds at the Boston University Season Opener. This was Gong’s first collegiate indoor track competition since coming off a successful cross country season in which she was named NEWMAC Rookie of the Year and earned All-Conference accolades.
