Cross country head coach Halston Taylor wrapped up his 40-year MIT coaching career at the NCAA Division III National Championship last weekend in Louisville, Ky. Taylor guided his men’s team to a national runner-up finish, which is the top finish in program history. The women’s team placed 12th overall and the two teams combined for a program-record seven All-Americans at the meet. Taylor ends his MIT career as a 42-time NEWMAC Coach of the Year between cross country and track and field and is a 22-time USTFCCCA Regional Coach of the Year.
