- The Lead: For the 14th straight season, the No. 12 ranked MIT women's cross country team captured the 2021 NEWMAC Championship by a 29-point margin over runner-up Wellesley College on a rainy Saturday afternoon at Nehoiden Golf Course. In addition, the Engineers had six student-athletes earn All-Conference accolades.

- Senior
Izzi Gengaro (Boonton Township, N.J.), the 2019 NEWMAC individual champion, finished in the runner-up spot in a time of 22:13.5 over the 6K course. Sophomore
Olivia Rosenstein (Urbana, Ill.) was close behind her in third at 22:14.3, with sophomore
Sarah Bentley (Pacific Palisades, Calif.) finishing sixth in a time of 22:47.4. Junior
Anna Chau (Salem, Ore.) crossed in 11th at 23:10.6, while junior
Anna Haddad (Tacoma, Wash.) was the final scoring runner for the Engineers in 12th with a time of 23:13.4.

- Sophomore
Archana Mohandas (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) placed 14th in 23:20.9, followed by junior
Einat Gavish (Newton, Mass.) in 18th place to round out the top seven with a time of 23:25.9.

Gillian Roeder (Delmar, N.Y.) finished in 23rd place at 23:45.8, while sophomore
Lily Janjigian (Rye Brook, N.Y.) crossed in 29th in 23:55.8 and first-year
Christina Crow (Mercer Island, Wash.) in 32nd at 24:01.6. The final MIT finishers were junior
Kirsi Rajagopal (Harrison, N.Y.) in 41st place at 24:25.9, first-year
Marina Ten Have (Tokyo, Japan) in 59th in 25:03 and first-year
Olivia Stoner (Haddonfield, N.J.) in 91st place with a time of 26:02.8.
