Women's Cross Country Finishes Eighth at Connecticut College Invitational

THE BASICS:
 
- Location: Waterford, Conn. (Harkness Park)
 
- The Lead: In the White Race at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday, the No. 7 MIT women's cross country team finished eighth out of 16 teams with a total of 208 points.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
 
- Sophomore Tessa Everett (Niwot, Colo.) was the top MIT finisher in 17th with a time of 23:58.6, followed by first-year Jessica Meza (Columbus, Ind.) in 33rd place at 24:28.7. Junior Olivia Stoner (Haddonfield, N.J.) crossed in 53rd place in 25:01.5, with sophomore Stella Gassman (Larchmont, N.Y.) right behind in 54th at 25:02.6 and first-year Kali Kraus (Temecula, Calif.) in 90th place with a time of 25:57.5.
 
UP NEXT:
 
- MIT returns to action on Saturday, October 28th as the Engineers travel to the NEWMAC Championship, which will be hosted by Smith College. The Engineers enter the meet as the 15-time defending conference champions.
