Men's Tennis Falls to Babson, 6-3

No. 23 Babson – 6, No. 36 MIT - 3

- Records: MIT (12-10, 5-1 NEWMAC), Babson (15-1, 6-0 NEWMAC)
 
- The Lead: In a matchup of two nationally ranked teams and the last two unbeatens in the NEWMAC, it was the visiting Babson men's tennis team who came away with a 6-3 win over the MIT men's tennis team to secure the top-seed in next weekend's NEWMAC Tennis Championship.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
 
- The Beavers swept doubles to head into singles needing just two wins to secure the win.
 
- Junior Kailas Kahler (Pawtucket, R.I.) won a grueling three-set match over Brooks Green in No. 1 singles and sophomore Ryan Xiao (Cary, N.C.) came away with the 6-2, 6-1 win in four singles.
 
- The Beavers took wins in two, three and six singles to secure the match.
 
- Senior Richter Jordaan (Denver, Colo.) won in five singles 6-1, 7-6.
 
UP NEXT:

- MIT returns to the courts tomorrow, Saturday April 15 for a 1:00 p.m. match against N.C. Wesleyan. The Engineers will host an alumni match earlier in the day at 10 a.m.
