No. 11 Men’s Cross Country Qualifies for NCAA Division III Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –  After winning the program's fifth consecutive NCAA Division III East Regional Championship, the No. 11 MIT men's cross country team has earned an automatic selection to the 2025 NCAA DIII Cross Country Championships in Spartanburg, S.C.

Converse University and OneSpartanburg, Inc. are hosting the championships Nov. 22 at Roger Milliken Cross Country course at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The men's race will begin at 10:00 AM Eastern, followed by the women's race at 11:00 AM Eastern.

MIT, who has won 27 consecutive NEWMAC Championships, returns to the national stage following a 13th place finish at the 2024 NCAA Championships. The Engineers are in search of their second NCAA title, having won the program's first NCAA Division III Championship in 2022.

Thirty-two teams were selected to participate in each championship. The top seven-person team automatically qualified from each of the 10 regions. Twenty-two additional teams were selected at-large. Seventy individuals, the first seven student-athletes from each region who are not a part of a qualifying team, were selected to participate in each championship.
