CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT women's fencing team defeated Brandeis University (14-13) but fell to Boston College (17-10) and host Harvard University (18-9) at the Beanpot on Thursday night.
Priscilla Leang won eight of nine epee bouts,
Anna Hung and
Hannah Tao both posted 4-5 marks for the sabre squad, and
Sandra Luo paced foil with a 3-6 total.

HOW IT HAPPENED – EPEE:
- The epee team compiled an 18-9 record as it defeated Harvard (7-2), Brandeis (6-3), and BC (5-4).
- Leang defeated all three opponents from BC and Harvard and went 2-1 against Brandeis.
- Zandra Feland had a 6-3 ledger as she won all three bouts against Brandeis and posted a 2-1 mark versus Harvard.
- Eunice Choi went 4-5, including a 2-1 performance against Harvard.
HOW IT HAPPENED – FOIL:
- The foil team went 5-22 with its best performance being a 4-5 tally against Brandeis.
- Luo had a 2-1 showing versus Brandeis helping her finish 3-6 on the day.
- Jordyn Goldson and Amber Peng both posted a victory against Brandeis
HOW IT HAPPENED – SABRE:
- The sabre team finished at 10-17, including 4-5 marks versus BC and Brandeis.
- Tao had a 2-1 performance against BC, helping her produce a 4-5 record.
- Hung's 4-5 ledger was highlighted by a 2-1 outing versus Brandeis.
- Victoria Fang picked up a victory against BC and Brandeis as she went 2-7 on the day.
