CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 4 MIT women's fencing team wrapped up the regular season with a 4-3 performance at its Northeast Fencing Conference (NFC) competition on Saturday at Boston College. The Engineers defeated Sacred Heart University (21-6), Vassar College (22-5), Wheaton College (25-2), and No. 5 Brandeis University (18-9), but lost to Brown University (15-12), No. 7 Wellesley College (14-13), and Boston College (17-10).
Hannah Beaver led the epee team with a 16-2 record,
Anna Hung and
Hannah Tao both produced 16-5 ledgers for the sabre contingent, and
Amber Peng paced the foil squad with a 14-7 mark.

HOW IT HAPPENED – EPEE:
- The epee team compiled a 43-20 record as it went 9-0 versus Wheaton, 8-1 against Brandeis, 7-2 versus Sacred Heart, and 6-3 against Vassar and Wellesley.
- Beaver defeated all three opponents from Sacred Heart, Vassar, Wheaton, and Brandeis and posted 2-1 records against Wellesley and BC for her 16-2 total.
- Priscilla Leang finished at 11-5 as she went 2-1 against Sacred Heart, Wellesley, and BC while winning both of her bouts versus Vassar and Brandeis.
- Zandra Feland had a 10-9 record after winning all three bouts versus Wheaton, posting 2-1 marks against Sacred Heart, Wellesley, and Brandeis, and adding a victory versus Brown.
- Eugenie Cha ended the day at 6-4 following a 3-0 showing against Wheaton and wins against Brown, Vassar, and Brandeis.
HOW IT HAPPENED – FOIL:
- The foil team went 32-31, highlighted by an 8-1 record against Vassar, a 7-2 total versus Wheaton, and a 6-3 mark against Sacred Heart.
- Peng's 14-7 mark featured 3-0 performances against Sacred Heart, Vassar, and Brandeis, a 2-1 total versus Wheaton, and wins over Brown, Wellesley, and BC.
- Sandra Luo had a 13-8 record after winning all three bouts against Vassar and Wheaton, going 2-1 versus Sacred Heart and Brown, and tacking on victories against Wellesley, Brandeis, and BC.
- Jordyn Goldson went 5-16, highlighted by 2-1 totals against Vassar and Wheaton along with a victory versus Sacred Heart.
HOW IT HAPPENED – SABRE:
- The sabre team amassed a record of 46-17 which included a 9-0 total versus Wheaton, 8-1 performances against Sacred Heart and Vassar, and 6-3 marks versus Brown and Brandeis.
- Hung's 16-5 total featured a trio of wins against Vassar, Wheaton, and Wellesley, 2-1 outings versus Sacred Heart, Brown, and Brandeis, and a victory over BC.
- Tao's 16-5 record included 3-0 showings versus Sacred Heart, Brown, Vassar, and Wheaton, a 2-1 mark against BC, and wins versus Wellesley and Brandeis.
- Victoria Fang compiled a 14-6 ledger after going 3-0 against Sacred Heart, Wheaton, and Brandeis, 2-0 versus Vassar, and notching wins against Brown, Wellesley, and BC.
- In her only bout of the day, Cassandra He lost to Vassar.
