CAMBRIDGE, Mass.  – Eleanor Yang of the MIT rifle team was named the Mid-Atlantic Rifle Conference Air Rifle Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 27. This is the third weekly honor of her career and the second for air rifle.
 
In the Engineers' 4,433-4,299 season-opening victory at Norwich University on Saturday, Yang set the range record in air rifle with a personal best score of 587, eclipsing the previous mark of 583 for both milestones. She also finished atop the aggregate standings with a total of 1,137 points.
 
MIT returns to action on Saturday, October 3 when it hosts the MIT Open at 10:00 AM.
