Favorite Sports Memory:
-Â In my sophomore year of high school, at our regional finals. I had finally figured out the vault that year, and had PR'd over four and a half feet over the course of the season, but I still wasn't really in the running to go to the state meet because of how competitive our region was. However, on the day of finals, I managed to match my PR while the rest of my competitors fell short, and ended up winning finals and going to the state meet. Realizing that I had qualified was definitely one of the most exciting experiences I've had as a pole vaulter.
Favorite Moment as an MIT Student-Athlete:
- At MIT, I think my favorite memory of the team is actually off the track. Freshman year, the week we all got kicked off campus, we had a vaulter bonding event planned. Despite everything that was happening, the whole vault team came, and we ended up spending something like 12 hours together, hanging out and enjoying what would become some of the last real moments of college for some of us. This time with my team really emphasized the importance of track as a second family to me, and how important they all were in my life.
