Biography

2015: UVC All-Conference second team...MIT Scramble Tournament MVP...graduates eighth all-time at MIT in career kills (946) and block assists (207) while tying for eighth in total blocks (241)...played in 102 sets...ranked 15th in the nation in kills per set (3.58) while standing third in the UVC in the same category...amassed 25 kills, a .352 hitting percentage, eight blocks, and six digs against Vassar (3/14) and then produced 21 kills, seven digs, and four blocks versus Lasell (3/14) later that day...tallied 14 kills, 11 digs, and eight blocks at Endicott (2/25)...notched nine kills, 12 digs, and six blocks against Wentworth (1/31).

2014: Played in 102 sets...230 kills...65 blocks...tied for second on the team in kills and was third in blocks...racked up 15 kills at #10 Stevens (3/22), followed by 14 versus Vassar (3/14)...tallied 13 kills and five blocks against Wentworth (3/15)...also turned in a 13-kill performance versus Medaille (3/9)...posted eight kills, five blocks, and two aces against #1 SUNY New Paltz (2/25)...amassed 11 kills and a .733 hitting percentage at Emerson (1/25).

2013: Played in 83 sets...132 kills...31 blocks...posted 13 kills and a .524 hitting percentage against #14 Elmira (4/6)...tallied 11 kills, a .733 hitting performance, four digs, and two blocks versus Bard (4/5)...collected seven digs and four blocks against Emmanuel (3/9)...also had four blocks versus Sage College (3/10)...earned two aces against Endicott (4/9).

2012: Played in 119 sets...219 kills...0.282 hitting percentage...73 blocks...ranked third on the team in kills and blocks...totaled 10 kills versus Elms (2/15), Milwaukee School of Engineering (3/9), and Fontbonne (3/10)...also had eight blocks at Fontbonne (3/10)...only ace of the season was against Harvard (2/4).

Off the Court at MIT: Majoring in mechanical engineering with a concentration in control, instrumentation, and robotics...completed an internship as a propulsion engineering at General Atomics Aeronautical...conducted research with the Model-Based and Embedded Robotic Systems Group in MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab...Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Why I Chose MIT: I chose MIT because I can never back down from a challenge. MIT is the perfect place for me because I can continually challenge myself both on the court and in the classroom. The best motivation is being surrounded by other motivated people, which MIT is full of. Sleep might not always be at the top of my agenda, but by the weekend, it was all worth it.

High School: A 2011 graduate of Francis Parker High School...captain...first team all-county all-academic...first team Western League...first team CIF D-IV...2010 national champion...three-time CIF D IV San Diego section champions...two-time D III Southern California CIF runners-up...four-year varsity letterwinner.

Club: Encinitas Wave Volleyball Club (five years)...Seaside Volleyball Club (one year)...Shorebreak Volleyball Club (one year).
