Elon Fyfield enters his second season with the MIT men's volleyball program as an assistant coach in 2021.

Fyfield played four seasons of men's volleyball for Purdue University Fort Wayne and was a two-time MIVA Academic All-Conference selection. He had a career-high 28 kills in a match played at George Mason in March of 2010.

Prior to playing collegiate men's volleyball, Fyfield was a four year member of the Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School volleyball team and basketball team. He was named to the Boston Globe All-Scholastic Team in both sports and to the All-Greater Boston League First Team in basketball. He found himself coaching the CRLS Freshman volleyball team in 2016 as an alum of the program.

When Fyfield is not coaching the Engineers, he is the Director of Qualls Academy and he has served in that role since September of 2016. Fyfield also founded Ballin' in the Bridge, a community basketball league in Cambridge.

Fyfield graduated with a bachelor's degree in general studies from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) in 2013 and a master's degree in educational leadership in 2015.
